Everything you need to know about business listing management, local search, and how Loh Listing Lab works.

Listing Basics

Business listings are profiles of your business that appear on platforms like Google, Yelp, Bing, Apple Maps, and hundreds of online directories. They typically include your business name, address, phone number, website, hours, and description. When these listings are accurate and complete, they help customers find you — and help search engines trust you.

Inaccurate listings cause two serious problems. First, customers who find wrong information (wrong hours, wrong phone number, wrong address) can't reach you or show up at the wrong place. Second, search engines like Google use consistency across directories as a trust signal. If your information conflicts across platforms, your local search rankings can suffer significantly.

At minimum, you should have accurate listings on Google Business Profile, Yelp, Bing Places, Apple Maps, and Facebook. Beyond that, the right number depends on your industry. Healthcare businesses benefit from Healthgrades and Zocdoc. Restaurants benefit from TripAdvisor and OpenTable. We audit which directories matter most for your specific category and location.

NAP stands for Name, Address, and Phone number. Search engines crawl hundreds of directories and compare your business information across all of them. When your NAP is identical everywhere, it signals that your business is legitimate and established. Even small differences — like 'Street' vs 'St.' or a missing suite number — can confuse search algorithms and weaken your local rankings.

Our Services

Yes. Loh Listing Lab operates entirely online and serves businesses across the United States. We have worked with clients in California, Texas, Florida, New York, and many other states. Geographic location does not affect the quality or scope of our services.

Yes — Google Business Profile support is one of our most requested services. We can help you claim your profile, complete all sections, select the correct categories, add services, upload business photos guidance, set up Q&A responses, and ensure your information is accurate and optimized for local search visibility.

At a minimum, you should review your listings whenever anything changes: new address, new phone number, new hours, new services. But even without changes, we recommend a quarterly audit because third parties and data aggregators can alter your information without your knowledge. Our monitoring service detects these changes automatically.

Citations are mentions of your business name, address, and phone number anywhere on the web — not just in your own listings. They appear in news articles, blog posts, local business databases, and more. Building high-quality citations on authoritative sites, and keeping them consistent, strengthens your local SEO foundation and improves Google's confidence in your business.

Most clients see measurable improvements in listing accuracy within 48–72 hours of us completing corrections. Visibility improvements in local search results typically take 2–6 weeks, as search engines need time to re-index updated information. We provide reports so you can track progress at each stage.

Working With Us

Our free audit reviews your business listings across major platforms (Google, Yelp, Bing, Apple Maps, and others relevant to your industry). We check for accuracy, completeness, duplicate listings, and consistency. You receive a written report summarizing what we found and what we recommend — with no obligation to proceed.

Consultations are conducted by phone or video call. We review your current online presence, discuss your business goals, and build a prioritized action plan together. Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes. After the call, you receive a written summary with recommended next steps.

We offer both one-time project services (like a single audit or cleanup) and ongoing monthly management. We do not require long-term contracts for monthly services — you can cancel with 30 days notice. We believe our results should be reason enough to continue.

The easiest first step is to request a free visibility audit using the form on our website or by calling (747) 287-4821. We will review your current listing health and reach out within one business day with findings and recommendations. From there, we can discuss next steps based on what you need.
